11024 Oakfield Drive S.W. (Cedarbrae Community Association)Calgary AB CAN 403-247-0602 [map]
YES!! This is my 1st full concert since my serious accident Jan.24th. I have my strength back up and I am ready once again to ROCK for a full show!! The usual superstar performers, Bruce Petherick & Jeremy Spencer, will be accompanying Natasha and I as well as some special surprise guest artists who will also lend their genius for your listening bliss. We'll be debuting many brand new original songs, rockin' our Greatest Hits you know and love as well as castin' in some wicked cool covers, done our way, of course. ; )
It'll be so sweet to have you with us for our "Took a Lickin' & Kept On Tickin' Concert" as I proclaim from high in the Canadian Rockies that I am now all "good to go" after my near fatal crash and subsequent spinal cord damage done accidentally when they messed up the injection they put in my spine. Some of our new material we'll perform June 19th has been inspired by the two plus months I spent in hospital and my road to recovery that still winds on. (If you'd like to get the full story and see pics as my recovery progresses, click on the link below. Note: you don't have to be a Facebook member to check it out.)

One night I heard an Angel's voice as I lay down to sleep Ballad she sang she sang on high, a gift for me to keep Repeated her sweet melody, till her song I wrote In joy she whispered each refrain until her final note

Obama’s Call For Service Day Is Being Answered By Hospital Events On Both Coasts.
Please join with the Agape Road Show on this important day. Event to be led by Christopher Barran and Catherine Yerly.
Sing for nursing home patients at convalescent hospital in the spirit of giving service for change in America on National Day of Service called for by Obama. All levels of talent welcome to sing with Agape Road Show.
"Every time our nation faces crisis, our national experience has shown Americans rise to the challenge. While government has an important role to play in helping rekindle our economy and addressing the problems of a distressed nation, President-elect Obama believes each of us, as Americans, have a responsibility to do what we can for our communities and fellow citizens. We are one nation.
The United States is once again at a crossroads and that is why the President-elect hopes to use the occasion of his Inauguration to rally our nation to commit to service in our communities. We are asking for your participation in meeting this challenge.
In 1994, Congress transformed the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday into a national day of community service to further commemorate a man who lived his life in service to others. As a tribute to that legacy and the very real needs of our nation, the President-elect and Vice President-elect have launched a national organizing effort on the eve of their Inauguration to engage Americans in service. This national day of service will fall on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, January 19, 2009 and, unlike past calls to service, President-elect Obama is calling on all Americans to do more than just offer a single day of service to their cities, towns and neighborhoods. He is asking all of us to make an ongoing commitment to our communities. Never has it been more important to come together in shared purpose to tackle the common challenges we face.
It is more important than ever for people to feel a shared purpose in overcoming the great problems this country now faces."

Over the last 15 years Gentle Hands has been a ministry dedicated to helping the urban people of the Philippines. Over 5,000 babies have been born at Gentle Hands since it began in the bottom level of Denie and Dennis Heppner's home in St. Ignatius Village.
Their medical outreaches have extended over several areas of the Philippines from the Northern Mountains to Smokey Mountain in downtown Manila, as well as into other countries such as Myanmar and India. Since the ministry began in 1990, it has branched into churches, Bible studies and in September 2000 an educational program was started.
In 2003 a short-term rehabilitative care facility for children was started which replaced the birthing clinic in 2005. Gentle Hands is licensed by the Department of Social Welfare of the Philippines to care for and assist the reunification or adoption of these children.

Inspirational talk by Maria Kliavkoff
"I've been down this road before, one too many times." In Christopher Barran's song "One More Door" Christopher asks us to explore the space between our willful intention and our desire to serve. Isn't it interesting that we find ourselves caught between our will and the will of grace? "Every failed attempt takes it's toll" to be sure, however every attempt gives us an opportunity to learn and grow until finally we harmonize with grace and the door opens effortlessly. Join us as we explore the relationship between effort and surrender. It is the relationship between the two that is the key that unlocks the door to your dreams.
